The core competence of R.E.T. is elastomer processing and particularly the composite as a
hard/soft component, i.e., elastomers in connection with metal or plastic and the very good adhesive connection between these materials.

The elastomer can be processed into stand-alone parts which are then installed on or in complementary parts. Or the elastomer is either vulcanised onto the hard/soft composite or applied in a free-form application method ("dispensed"); a good adhesive connection of the elastomer to the hard component is always the focus.

The hard component can be steel or light metal, or equally well plastic, such as thermoplastics or thermosetting plastics. Other materials are possible. The 2-component technology is used for plastics whenever it is technically and economically possible.

Many elastomers can be considered for the soft component, as is described in the materials.
